I’m Brad Lee Barnhill—a Nevadan, military brat, University of Virginia graduate (Class of 1981), and a committed Christian family man. I was raised with a strong respect for service, personal responsibility, and the Constitution.
After a lifetime in both technology and legal work, I’ve seen how partisan politics too often puts division ahead of results. For nearly a generation, that divide has stalled the practical work Nevada needs to move forward.
That’s why I’m running as an independent for Nevada Secretary of State. This office should not be about party control—it should be about public trust, accuracy, and accountability. My focus is simple: get the fundamentals right and restore confidence in the system.
What I will focus on as Secretary of State
- Secure, fair, and transparent elections
Every eligible voter should be able to trust that their ballot is properly handled, accurately counted, and fairly administered. - Strong oversight of business and securities filings
Protect consumers, support honest businesses, and ensure Nevada’s corporate records are transparent and reliable. - Accurate and accountable public records
Maintain clean, accessible government records so citizens can see what their government is doing—and hold it accountable.
I don’t answer to party leadership or political machines. I answer to the people of Nevada.
Let’s replace division with practical problem-solving. Let’s restore trust in our institutions. And let’s build a government that works the way it’s supposed to.
