Why Independent Voters Will Decide the Future
For decades, Nevada politics has been framed as a fight between Democrats and Republicans.
Turn on the television. Open social media. Listen to the political consultants.
Everything is red versus blue.
But that’s not the Nevada I see.
Today, nearly four out of every ten Nevada voters are registered as Non-Partisan, Independent American Party, Libertarian, or another non-major-party affiliation. Together, we outnumber both Democrats and Republicans.
Think about that for a moment.
The largest voting bloc in Nevada is no longer either major party.
It’s us.
The Two-Party System No Longer Represents Nevada

For years, voters have been told they only have two choices.
Pick one side.
Vote for the lesser of two evils.
Accept candidates chosen by party insiders.
Many Nevadans have grown tired of that false choice.
I understand because I lived it.
Until 2024, I had never voted for a major-party presidential candidate. Like many voters, I often found myself choosing between options that did not truly represent my values or priorities.
So instead, I voted for a candidate I could support–an independent candidate.
Millions of Americans feel the same way.
They are not extremists.
They are not disengaged.
They are citizens who want practical solutions instead of partisan warfare.
Nevada Needs Problem Solvers, Not Professional Politicians
For more than 35 years, I have worked as an analyst helping organizations solve complex problems.
For more than 20 years, I have worked as a litigation paralegal drafting legal documents, analyzing statutes, and helping navigate complicated legal systems.
My career has not been built on political speeches.
It has been built on identifying problems, understanding systems, and developing solutions that work.
That’s exactly the experience Nevada needs in the Secretary of State’s office.
The Secretary of State is not simply a ceremonial position.
The office oversees elections, business filings, and several important state functions that affect every Nevadan.
These responsibilities require someone who understands systems, processes, compliance, and implementation.
Not just politics.
Election Integrity Requires More Than Talking Points
Nevadans deserve confidence in their elections.
That confidence is earned through transparency, accountability, and clear rules that are applied fairly and consistently.
If Nevada voters approve Question 7 and amend the Nevada Constitution to require voter identification, the next Secretary of State will be responsible for helping implement those requirements.
As a litigation paralegal with decades of experience working with statutory language and legal procedures, I am prepared to help develop practical implementation policies that protect both election security and voter access.
The goal should be simple:
Secure elections.
Accessible voting.
Public confidence.
No political theater.
Just results.
Independent Voters Will Decide Nevada’s Future
The old political map is changing.
More Nevadans are rejecting rigid partisan labels.
More voters are registering outside the major parties.
More citizens are demanding accountability instead of excuses.
The future of Nevada will not be decided by party insiders.
It will be decided by citizens who think independently and vote independently.
That future is already here.
The numbers prove it.
The question is whether independent-minded voters will recognize their own strength.
