Abortion in Nevada is already more available in Nevada than it is in all of Europe
Abortion in Nevada is legal up to the 24th week of pregnancy, under the Nevada Revised Statutes chapter 442, section 250; and after 24 weeks if the pregnancy could be fatal for the pregnant woman. Even after that, violation is only a misdemeanor.
Compare this to the bulk of European nations, where abortion is legal only up to 12 to 15 weeks. In Mexico, abortion is legal only in Mexico City.
There are efforts to amend the Nevada Constitution. Given that abortion is already legal in Nevada, I believe this is unnecessary.

I personally believe in the right to life. After all, how can you protect liberty and property if you don’t first protect life? However, I am not the kind of person to impose my beliefs upon anyone.
I believe abortion is a non-issue in Nevada. Don’t be fooled, any group making a fuss about it is engaging in demagoguery. We should be able to agree that abortions are currently available in Nevada to any woman who needs them, even after the 24th week of pregnancy, if the life of the mother is at risk.
How would you “outlaw” abortion? You would have to force every woman to submit to a monthly pregnancy test and then sequester the ones who were positive until they gave birth. Am I advocating this? No one is. (If anyone tells you so, they are demagogues, don’t believe them.) I would personally never support such legislation.
