Children have no legal capacity to decide their own gender
I want to share something that’s been on my mind after a recent conversation I had. I just spent the past half hour debating whether children should have the legal capacity to decide that their gender conflicts with their biological sex. And let me tell you, it was eye-opening.
The propaganda surrounding this subject is rampant. There’s so much misinformation out there, and it’s hard to separate fact from fiction. During the debate, my opponent, let’s call them ChapGPT, cited published works in psychology to justify allowing children to transition to their “gender identity.”
But here’s the thing – I’m no psychologist, but I strongly believe that allowing minors to transition is harmful and irreversible. Just think about the long-term effects of medical interventions like hormone therapy or surgery. Enabling a child’s fantasy that they have a different gender identity could ultimately destroy their ability to function as adults and even affect their ability to procreate.
This isn’t about denying anyone’s identity or rights. It’s about protecting our children until they’re old enough to make such life-altering decisions for themselves. Until then, I firmly believe that subjecting them to medical transitioning is nothing short of child abuse.

That’s why I’m committed to supporting legislation that prevents medical transitioning of minors. We need to let children be children and give them the chance to grow up before they make decisions that could affect the rest of their lives.
Let’s come together and prioritize the well-being of our children. It’s time to take a stand and ensure that they have the opportunity to make informed decisions when they’re ready.
